1st losing Session

Wow i nearly just tilted playing $10 stts, played 3 and went out of all 3 in a nasty way.

The challenge must mean something as i was most annoyed.

Thats also a big part of this challenge, forcing myself to play disciplined. No tilt, playing with good bankroll management meaning this doesn't put me remotely in jeorpardy of going busto.

Get em tomorrow.

-$33

End of the $5 stts

Played for about 4 hours last night and had a good run with several wins. I lost track of exactly how many i played as i was playing an omaha re buy that ended up costing $30 at the same time. Omaha tournaments really are a minefield with so many poor players it's almost impossible to bluff. I got eliminated by the chip leader who played about 90% of hands and won about 90% of hands. The last hand i had A,K,Q,J double suited and we got it all in pre flop and i lost to his Q,9,7,3 rainbow, for half his stack he played that junk but i'm not bitter i decided to choose a hand and attempt to double up through him and it didn't pay off. c'est la vie.

I think i may write a little guide to each level i pass through. The $5 stts require simple abc poker in short with a bit of maths derived strategy for the end game which i will elaborate on at a later date.

I lost track of the games i played and i played a couple of $10 games at the end with a 1st and a 3rd so the balance is now.....

$253.75

I Love Parties

Had a great house warming party over the weekend which i have just about recovered from, serious drinking and a lot of mess to be tidied up sunday. Got it done in a few hours and played a sattelite for the sunday million on stars. I got in for $6 but did poorly in the actual tourney due to some very dodgy play on my oppos behalf.

Played a little yesterday while my girlfriend was preparing dinner but she was telling me about her day and the absolute tosser she works with so i was laughing a bit much to concentrate fully so ended up turning a $0.50 profit for the session. Going to play all evening tonight so hope i can get up to $200 so i can get on the $10 stts asap.

Beginning Balance $129 (-$6 for the $1m sat)

Played 4 x 5.50 stts

Returned $22.50

Profit +$0.50

Balance $129.50

Off we go

Finally got into my new house and have the broadband firing on all cylinders so the challenge can begin.

I played a few games on a tribecca site just to satisfy my thirst for a game, played 2 $50 stts and won them both and then got deep in the $20k but lost out before the big money with QQ v AA.

That more than scratched my itch for a decent game so i started to have a look around and try to decide which site i wanted to attempt the challenge on.

My favourite site for stts and mtts which is what i plan to mainly play to get the bankroll growing is pokerstars and given their heavy increase in traffic since party closed its doors to our friends accross the pond it seemed perfect.

I logged in to check the status and found there was $87 already in there so actually it's become the $87 to a million challenge.

I don't think i want to laboriously list all results so just a general update at the end of each blog entry should suffice.

Session 1,

Beginning Balance = $87
Games Played = 5 x $5 NLHE stts
Profit = +$48

Closing Balance = $135

Still very busy but should be able to get in at least 3 2hr+ sessions next week.

Be lucky.

PS if your not watching extras on bbc2 your missing a treat but give Mitchell and Webb a wide berth because it's shit.
